WOMEN OF INFLUENCE

The Women of Influence, an arm of the QCAA Chamber of Commerce, was first launched in 2014 to open a community of opportunities. Our community collaborations were designed to engage: Young Girls (18-25), Aspiring Female Entrepreneurs, and Women in Business.

Our mission was to support, encourage, and expose the possibilities of creating opportunities from within that may be outside of the normal business and education system. We partnered with the Girl Scouts of Northern IL Paths of Leadership and After-school programs, Junior Achievement entrepreneurial programs, and the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) Entrepreneurship program.

The Women of Influence re-launched in 2023 to provide timely, quality information and resources to professional women seeking to build or grow their business brand with a focus on supporting Black women. We serve entrepreneurial and professional African American women in the Quad Counties by providing programs, activities and access to resources and opportunities.

Our vision is to have communities that thrive because women run businesses women in them. Our goal is to support professional women and entrepreneurs by providing information that promotes sustainable African American businesses in our community and beyond.
